Thank $DEITY, not our house; unfortunately, it was our neighbor's house. Nobody was living there, fortunately...
It's a bit after 5'oclock in the morning now, but a little over two hours ago I was awakened by my wife, who smelled fire. She went outside, and saw smoke pouring over our roof, and thought it was our house. We called 911, then got my mother into her wheelchair, grabbed the dog, and went outside.
The neighbor's house is likely a total loss, as you can tell from the photos the fire was pretty big, and in the attic area. It had also breached into the "second" story of the split level. I hope it works out (and I hope they had insurance); that house has been nothing but trouble for them...
It turned out to be a neighbor's house, right next door to ours (in fact, the house that has the pool as shown in the pictures about our fence, to the north of our house).
